- Redline Tuning's Coil Conversion Kit for the Skyline GTR RB26 uses genuine Audi R8 Coil Packs, a custom made aluminium mounting frame & a custom ignition wiring harness, serving as an upgrade from outdated ignition components commonly found on the Skyline GTR RB26's engine.
- Being one of the UK's leading high performance Skyline tuners, we face a near-weekly challenge of insufficient spark energy created by stock RB26 ignition components. We regularly see failures from degrading ignition coils, faulty ignition amps and old & brittle wiring harnesses.
- Our solution was to create a modernised system using Audi R8 coil packs, designed to be easily removable for spark plug changes. We've also created a custom aluminium frame, located away from the cylinder head to avoid unnecessary heat build up, and a custom wiring harness that's much more sturdier & dramatically improves voltage to the coils.

NOTE: This kit now includes Deutsch DT connectors as standard, instead of the inferior superseal connectors. The pinouts remain the same.
The 3 pin connector on the harness is used to power on the relay, the red wire is to be connected to a switched ignition 12v, and the black wire is a ground. You can find ignition 12v and ground in the connectors that power the original ignition coils, but these differ between models.

- 6 x Genuine Audi R8 Coil Packs.
- 1 x Aluminium Coil Pack Mounting Frame.
- 1 x Custom Ignition Wiring Harness.
- 1 x Upgraded Multiplug w/ Connectors.
- 3 x Hex Cap Head Bolts.
- 3 x Spacers.
Note: This kit should only be installed by a competent person. No warranty can or will be offered for incorrect fitment, and any damage associated. Basic electrical knowledge will be required.
This is an aftermarket upgrade kit, and as such, requires some modifications to the standard car.
Additional Information:
- The use of this product completely replaces the need to change out components for 2nd hand "like for like" parts, resulting in a much more reliable ignition solution.
- Due to common degradation found on the existing multiplug, we've chosen to include an aftermarket multiplug, providing longer lasting connection. Due to this, some cutting and crimping of terminals is required. This service can be undertaken free of charge at our tuning centre in Essex, UK on a "while you wait" basis if you are not comfortable doing this yourself.
