Redline Tuning's Dyno is a Dyno Dynamics Rolling Road capable of 1200 HP / 900kW 2wd.
The Dyno Dynamics rolling road is quickly becoming the industry standard in power measurement and dyno testing, for example BP use Dyno Dynmics rolling roads to develop and test BP fuel.

Here at Redline Tuning, we pride ourselves on having the most accurate rolling road in Basildon Essex, phone us to book a dyno run for your car now and find out it's true power!

Redline Tuning's dyno is astonishingly accurate because we do not use the inaccurate measuring techniques some rolling roads use.

We will tell you exactly what your car is pushing – even if it’s what you don’t want to hear, we’d rather be honest than make you look like a lemon at a later date.

Redline Tuning's rolling road IS for you if you want to know the TRUE power output of your car and how you can dramatically improve it.

At Redline Tuning we use full weather and atmospheric compensation. A very large 13kw electric variable speed fan capable of emptying our shop of air in less than 5 mins. (needed to keep testing accurate and under bonnet temps down)

Most other rolling roads calculate from wheel hp to fly hp by using a coast down method. This can be very inaccurate because:

1. There is no load on the gear box, so you only calculate the friction losses in the tyres and gear oil.

2 It’s open to abuse as all you need to do is touch the brakes or slightly pull the steering to increase drive losses making the fly wheel power (falsely) higher.

3. On big horse power cars, if you get any wheel spin the dyno see less wheel turns. Then on coast down, the dyno sees correct wheel turns so again it puts transmission losses high, and therefore a bigger hp read out.

Are you brave enough to find out what your car is really producing?

We tune your engine using our rolling road with the most up to date engine analysis computer equipment available so you can rest assured you're in safe and professional hands.

We typically wire up all the sensors on the vehicle that control fuelling plus we use a wide band lambda sensor to measure the air/fuel ratio.

We start off with a basic set up on carburetted vehicles checking carb balance etc. We then perform a power run typically in third gear.

From here we can start to alter fuelling etc and lay the logged results over the first run to check for an increase in power or a loss of power!

A typical example is to increase the fuel over the rev range, we can then see that for example, the car made more power on run no 1 with leaner fuel up to 3500 revs and then more power after 3500 revs.

From here we continue to alter the fuelling/jets to ensure we develop more power over the entire rev range. The same applies to the engine timing.

Once we have established a good power increase for a full throttle run we then look at the cruising side of the engine tune and the transition between the two. This ensures the car maintains drivability and fuel consumption as well as producing more power.

Throughout this process we are listening for engine knocking and pinking to ensure the vehicle is still on the safe side of maximum performance.
